Viola pricing: free, Pro, and Max plans for Windows

Is Viola free? Yes. The Free plan is the same product with a lighter allowance; Pro and Max only add larger monthly allowances. No subscription required, cancel anytime, no lock-in.

Viola is a voice assistant for Windows 10 and 11 that replaces Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant while keeping your music, calendar, smart home, and browser. Every plan below is that same product.

Same product, different limits

Same product everywhere

Free, Pro, and Max all get the same assistant. Same voice. Same intelligence. Same capabilities. No gating by tier.

  • Multi-room music sync
  • Agentic tasks (calendar, browser, smart home, multi-step)
  • Encrypted memory
  • Music services: Spotify in the Windows desktop app, YouTube/Google music paths, and local files
  • Account-scoped cloud data when you sign in

What actually changes

Paid plans increase the included usage allowance for managed AI and phone usage. You can always use your own keys for LLM calls.

  • Usage allowance: Free is light usage to try the product. Pro covers regular daily use. Max handles heavier AI and phone workloads. Past your budget, add more managed usage at the in-app rate or switch to BYOK.
  • Phone calls: No call-count cap is sold as a separate plan limit — outbound calls draw from the same usage allowance. Abuse, fraud, and concurrent-call limits still apply, and phone calling is for US numbers only.
  • AI source: Managed, BYOK (OpenAI / Anthropic / Google / OpenAI-compatible), or local (Ollama) — you can switch in Settings.

Questions

Is there a free AI voice assistant for Windows?

Yes. Viola’s Free plan is a full AI voice assistant for Windows: multi-room music, calendar and browser tasks, smart home, and phone calls, with a light managed usage allowance included. Bring your own API key or a local model and it stays free.

Do I need a subscription to use Viola?

No. The Free plan has the same features as Pro and Max, and BYOK or local-model use never requires a paid plan. Paid plans only add a larger managed usage allowance, and you can cancel anytime and keep Free access.

Is Viola available on Mac or mobile?

Not yet. Viola runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) today. Leave your email on the download page and we will send one email the day Viola reaches your platform.

Can I use Viola without paying?

Yes. The Free plan remains available.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

You keep Free plan access.

Do you offer refunds?

Monthly plans are not refunded for the current billing cycle once it has started. Annual plans can be refunded pro-rated if you cancel within the first 14 days of a subscription or renewal. Billing errors are always refundable — contact support within 60 days. See the refund policy in the Terms of Service for full details.

Do I need to pay for multi-room?

No. Multi-room audio sync is free for everyone.

What is included in my usage allowance?

Each plan includes a set amount of managed usage per month. Free includes a light allowance to get started, Pro includes more for regular daily use, and Max includes the most for heavier workloads. Free also has a weekly usage cap. Past your allowance, add extra managed usage at the in-app rate, or use your own API key (BYOK) for LLM calls.

Are phone calls capped?

Outbound phone calls draw from the same usage allowance. No call-count cap is sold as a separate plan limit. Viola still applies abuse, fraud, and concurrent-call limits to protect service stability, and phone calling is available for US numbers only.

Can I pay annually?

Yes. Pro is $120/year (two months free vs $144 billed monthly) and Max is $200/year (two months free vs $240 billed monthly). Usage caps are the same either way.

Is BYOK really free?

Yes. BYOK LLM requests go from your device to your selected provider, not through Viola's managed AI. You pay your provider directly for the tokens you use.
