Switch your assistant. Keep everything else.

Why Viola exists

Most assistants work best when you move deeper into the company that made them. Viola is built for the opposite move: change assistants without changing the rest of your life.

Keep Spotify, YouTube/Google, Google Calendar, Gmail, Home Assistant, and the services you already rely on. Viola connects to your stack instead of asking you to rebuild it.

What Viola does

Viola is a Windows hub with browser spokes for the rest of your devices. It plays music across rooms, manages calendar and email workflows, connects to smart-home systems through Home Assistant, and can handle longer tasks through a guarded browser agent.

Privacy is built into the product shape. Wake word and speech recognition run on your machine, desktop credentials stay on your device, and cloud features are opt-in. The Privacy Ledger shows what runs where.

How Viola is different

Viola is not tied to one ecosystem. The goal is simple: an assistant that works with the tools you already chose, keeps you in control, and stays quiet until you ask for help.

Assistant

  • YouTube Music, Spotify, local files
  • Gmail + Calendar + YouTube (one Google login)
  • Multi-room audio (any browser = a spoke)
  • Whole-task agent (email, calendar, web, commerce)
  • Phone calling on paid plans
  • Smart home via Home Assistant
  • Browser automation with Payment-Gate
  • Wake word ("Viola") + neural voice (Kokoro TTS)

Control

  • Local wake word and speech recognition
  • Desktop credential vault for connected services
  • Cloud features only when you turn them on
  • Per-account cloud data isolation
  • Published privacy and network-flow documentation
